Real-time Bookkeeping
With our Bookkeeping Service, the days of keeping receipts in a shoebox will be over. Traditional bookkeeping often leaves you waiting weeks for updates, chasing receipts and relying on reports that are already out of date. As a result, it’s hard to build an accurate picture of where you stand financially.
By using Xero and Dext receipt scanning, we keep your accounts updated regularly. Not once a quarter but every week, meaning you can log in anywhere and see exactly where you’re up to: cash flow, expenses, invoices and more, all in real-time.
Bookkeeping isn’t and should never be an afterthought. It’s the foundation of your business and allows you to make confident decisions based on current numbers, not weeks later.

Our Bookkeeping Process
Do I need a bookkeeper if I already have an accountant?
Bookkeeping and accounting are different but they do go hand in hand.
Bookkeepers are in charge of the day-to-day recording of transactions such as invoices, receipts and expenses. You simply send a picture of any of the above and our bookkeepers will reconcile them in Xero so that its reflected in your numbers. The job of the accountant is to interpret this data and prepare financial reports, file taxes and provide strategic advice. Accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping is vital to an accountant’s job.
What records do I need to keep for bookkeeping?
You should keep hold of any records or documents that show your business' income and expenses. This includes:
- Any Invoices and Receipts
- Purchase inovices, bills and expense claims
- Bank statements and credit card statements
- Payroll records (if that applies to your business)
- VAT records (that’s if you’re VAT registered)
Using Xero, these will always be stored digitally on the cloud, but it’s always best to keep a physical back-up.
How much does bookkeeping cost for a small business?
The cost of bookkeeping varies from business to business and depends on the size, complexity, and number of monthly transactions.
As a benchmark if you’re a sole trader with 20 to 30 transactions a month, it would cost around £100.
However, we have some clients who have multiple bank accounts and over a thousand transactions a month, so their bookkeeping may be more like £2000 a month.
The important thing is that we help clients at whatever stage of their journey, whether you’re just starting out or fully in the swing of things.
Can you handle bookkeeping if my business isn’t UK-based?
If you're registered in the UK but you trade overseas, then yes, we can support you.
Lots of our clients operate internationally, invoicing multiple currencies such as USD or EUR. We can manage multiple currency bookkeeping, reconcile international transactions and make sure you stay compliant with HMRC and UK tax regulations.
However, if you’re registered as a business in another company, then we won’t be able to help. That said, if you’re looking to open a business in the UK as part of your operations, we can help with company registration and ongoing support following setup.
Do you offer bookkeeping services to sole traders and startups?
Absolutely, we work with clients of all shapes and sizes.
We provide bookkeeping services to startups, freelancers and sole traders, as well as larger businesses. You might just need help tracking your expenses, or perhaps you want a fully outsourced finance function complete with bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, management accounts and more. The point is, we can scale up or down depending on what your business needs.
How do I switch bookkeeping services to you?
Switching is straightforward, our onboarding team makes the process frictionless.
We’ll contact your previous accountant or bookkeeper to request your records, transfer your bookkeeping data and get you set up on Xero in no time. If you’ve never used Xero before, don’t worry, it’s incredibly straightforward and we provide training to clients on how to use the platform.
