Meet the Team – Sam
30 Jul 2024So first off let’s start with a nice icebreaker, what do you like to do in your spare time?Â
I love the gym and play a few sports, a stereotypical old man’s game in the Summer – crown green bowls, closely followed by hockey in the Winter! Aside from sport, I’m a proper foodie and love trying new places out, there’s so much in Manchester as someone from the Midlands.Â
Â
Now a big question for us in the Marketing team, whats your favourite food:Â
Difficult one!! If we’re talking takeout, I reckon Chinese. If we’re going with what kinda of restaurant I’d swing towards, it’d have to be tapas, I get food envy way too much to want to just commit to one dish.  Â
Â
(Editor note: Tapas is a top choice)
And of course, what’s your drink of choice: Â
Got to be a spicy marg! It just works.Â
Â
Something people don’t know about you:Â
I put my love of sports to a good cause and competed for charity in a 100km ultra-marathon! In my head I thought this would just be a long walk, how wrong I was. It was by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and it genuinely took me months to recover from. I’d still give it another go though!
Â
Favourite song of all time:Â Â
Enrique Iglesias – Bailando (the Spanish version ofc)Â
Â
And a film:Â Â
I love the American Pie trilogy! Or is it tetralogy?
Â
And lastly, the most important question, would you rather fight 100 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck? And why?:Â Â Â
I’ve gone back and forth with this one, but I think I’ve settled on 100 duck-sized horses. Would just run around frantically stamping them out and reckon I could do some damage with a minute or so of that before tiring. One horse-sized duck for me could just knock you out with one flap of a wing, and be screwed. Â
