Why Choose Accounts and Legal?
A fractional CFO can give you senior financial input, but the real value comes from how that support fits into the rest of the business. At Accounts and Legal, we don’t look at the numbers in isolation. We bring together accountants, finance specialists and legal experts under one roof, offering joined up advice across the areas that matter. That means if you’re looking at growth, funding, hiring, contracts, tax planning or acquisitions, you’re not getting separate advice from different places. You’re getting one team looking at the full picture. For growing businesses, that makes decisions easier, faster and better informed.

Just started working with Accounts and Legal cause my old accountants were utterly terrible. They've been great! So glad I switched over! The level of service is brilliant!![]()

I’ve used Jamie Davies at Accounts and Legal for my small business accounts and Self Assessment, and I’ve been really impressed with the difference in the level of service and advice. Having had some rather patchy and fairly superficial accounting advice in the past, it’s been a real change to work with someone who is knowledgeable, competent and genuinely takes the time to understand the business. He is approachable, responsive and, importantly, doesn’t just deal with the numbers - he provides practical advice that has delivered real value. I now feel much more confident that my accounts and tax affairs are being properly looked after and I would happily recommend him to other small business owners looking for an accountant who adds genuine value rather than simply filing the paperwork.![]()

As a new small / micro business, I had no idea what an accountant should or shouldn't be and had terrible experience after terrible experience with all these companies that market to small organisations like mine. What a disaster - I was so stressed out I was about to give up - considering myself too tiny for any company to care about. When I connected with Accounts and Legal, & Dominic who looks after my accounts - I felt like I was getting big business accounting care and attention, even though my business remained tiny. Since working with them, I've had no more scary letters, my cashflow is looking great, I have a complete financial overview of what is possible with my business and an intelligent responsible person at the other side of emails and phone calls anytime I need. Major kudos to Dominic and the Accounts and Legal team - who have been very patient and supportive all the way through.![]()

More Than a Standalone CFO Consultant
A lot of fractional CFO support is built around one person.
That can work well, but it can also be limiting. One person may be able to help with strategy, forecasting and reporting, but they won’t always have the wider team behind them to deal with the day-to-day finance work, tax, payroll or legal detail that sits around those decisions.
That’s where we’re different.
You get CFO-level input backed by a wider team who can support the finance function properly. So instead of advice sitting separately from the rest of the business, it can actually be put into action.
What's Our Process?
Book a Discovery Call
Start by booking a discovery call with the team. We’ll ask about your business, your current finance setup and what prompted you to look for fractional CFO support in the first place.
That might be cashflow, reporting, funding, growth plans, or simply feeling like the numbers aren’t giving you enough direction.
Review Your Setup
We then look at how finance is currently working in the business. That can include your management accounts, cashflow forecasting, reporting, systems, payroll, tax position and any internal finance support you already have in place.
The aim is to understand where the gaps are. Sometimes the issue is reporting. Sometimes it’s cashflow. Sometimes the day-to-day finance is fine, but there’s no senior view helping you make decisions.
Shape the Support
Once we understand what’s needed, we build the right level of support around you. That might mean monthly CFO input, regular forecasting and reporting, support with funding or growth decisions, or a wider finance setup that includes accounting, tax, legal and day-to-day finance support. We’re not trying to sell you a fixed package. The point is to work out what level of help actually makes sense for the business.
Work Together
Once we’re working together, we stay close to the numbers and the decisions behind them.
That usually means regular check-ins, clear reporting, cashflow visibility and practical advice when key decisions come up.
As the business changes, the support can change too — whether that means more senior finance input, wider outsourced finance support, or legal and tax advice around growth, funding or acquisitions.
What Our Clients Say
“Accounts and Legal helped me completely transform how I manage the financial side of my business. Beyond just the systems and processes, their support helped me finance my first home while continuing to grow Seene Digital.
The difference has been incredible. We’ve just had our best financial year yet in terms of revenue, expanded our team, and have a much clearer picture of our finances as we plan for the next stage of growth.
I absolutely love working with the team, everyone is so friendly, switched-on and genuinely great at what they do. I always feel confident that I’m getting the right advice and that my business is in safe hands.
Just a huge thank you for making this side of running a business not only manageable but actually enjoyable. It’s made such a difference personally and professionally”.
Emma Williams, Founder of Seene Digital
What You Can Expect From Working With Us
This isn’t about producing long reports that nobody reads.
The aim is to give you clearer numbers, better visibility and more confidence in the decisions you’re making.
That typically means:
- Cashflow forecasts you can actually use
- Reporting that explains what’s happening, not just what happened
- Clearer visibility over profit, margins and costs
- Support with funding, investment or growth decisions
- A senior finance view without hiring full-time
- Access to wider accounting, tax and legal support when needed
You’ll still be close to the numbers, but you won’t be left trying to interpret them on your own.
